Vintage Gibson F-25 Acoustic Folksinger: 12 Fret, Short Scale, Tone!
This is a vintage Gibson F-25 Folksinger, well made in Kalamazoo MI in the late sixties. With its wide, 12 frets-to the-body neck and 24.6" scale, this guitar kicks out a louder, more open sound than its B25, LG-3 brethren, despite sharing the same 00-size body. You can certainly strum it, but the classical-style neck (2" wide at the nut) makes the guitar especially well suited for fingerstyle.
This particular F-25 is a blonde beauty, with a light rosewood bridge and beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The top is solid spruce and the back is solid big-leaf mahogany. It has the usual Gibson finish checking, a smattering of little nicks and a finish scrape on the upper back, but maintains a pleasing vintage appearance overall. There appears to be NO wear to the board and very minimal fret wear, suggesting it was not played a whole lot. The Kluson tuners are also in excellent condition. Everything is original on this guitar except for the new rosewood bridge pins and a new set of D'Addario strings. It has been set up with a medium/low action and plays cleanly up and down the neck. It comes in a new gig bag and will be well packed for shipping.
Insured shipping to the US is $55, and $99 to selected international locations. International buyers are responsible for the difference between the max insured amount (usu. $650, but much less to the UK since ParcelForce) to your country and the actual sale price, as well as any duties. I list the actual sale price on the Customs form. Sales are final, so check the pix and ask questions if you have any. Payment is due within 48 hours of sale. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! There aren't many F-25s around, especially in this nice a condition.
